I am a ceramic artist based in Montreal and a member of Mineral Coop, a ceramics cooperative in the Mile-End since 2023, where I prepare glazes for members. My first ceramics throwing class during the pandemic sparked a deep connection to the medium. Much of my work is inspired by the urban forms around me, whether walking through Montreal or exploring new places. I’m particularly drawn to the subtle architectural details that shape a city's character, and my creative process is mostly intuitive, allowing these forms to naturally influence my work.

With a background in environmental science, my approach is steeped in biogeochemistry—especially the unseen processes beneath the surface. This fascination with the natural world fuels my interest in glaze chemistry, allowing me to merge scientific concepts with creative expression. I often experiment with structural glazes, integrating them into functional objects that reflect the intersection of art, science, and everyday life.

Je suis une céramiste basée à Montréal et membre de la Coop Minérale, une coopérative de céramistes dans le Mile-End depuis 2023, où je prépare des émaux pour les membres. Mon premier cours de tournage pendant la pandémie a suscité une profonde connexion avec le médium. Une grande partie de mon travail est inspirée par les formes urbaines qui m'entourent, que ce soit en marchant dans Montréal ou en explorant de nouveaux endroits. Je suis particulièrement attirée par les petits détails architecturaux qui façonnent le caractère d'une ville, et mon processus créatif est principalement intuitif, permettant à ces formes d’influencer naturellement mon travail.

Avec un parcours en sciences de l'environnement, mon approche est ancrée dans la biogéochimie—en particulier les processus sous le sol. Cette fascination pour le monde naturel alimente mon intérêt pour la chimie des émaux, me permettant de fusionner des concepts scientifiques avec l'expression créative. J'expérimente souvent des émaux structuraux, les intégrant dans des objets fonctionnels qui reflètent l'intersection entre l'art, la science et la vie quotidienne.

Soy ceramista y vivo en Montreal. Desde 2023, soy miembro de la cooperativa de cerámica Minéral, situada en el Mile End, donde preparo esmaltes para sus miembros. Mi primer curso de torno durante la pandemia despertó una profunda conexión con la cerámica. Gran parte de mi trabajo se inspira en las formas urbanas que me rodean, ya sea mientras camino por Montreal o exploro nuevos lugares. Me atraen especialmente los pequeños detalles arquitectónicos que dan carácter a una ciudad, y mi proceso creativo es principalmente intuitivo, permitiendo que estas formas influyan de manera natural en mi trabajo.

Mi formación en ciencias ambientales influye en mi enfoque artístico, particularmente mi interés por la biogeoquímica y los procesos que ocurren bajo la superficie del suelo. Esta fascinación por el mundo natural alimenta mi interés por la química de los esmaltes, permitiéndome combinar conceptos científicos con la expresión creativa. Experimento a menudo con esmaltes de carácter estructural, incorporándolos en objetos funcionales que reflejan el encuentro entre el arte, la ciencia y la vida cotidiana.
